This webtool aims to provide an organized repository of bio image analysis software and workflows\u00a0to biologists, bioimage analysts and algorithm developers. During the <a href=\"http:\/\/eubias.org\/NEUBIAS\/what-is-taggathon\/schedule-taggathon-1-upf-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first taggathon<\/a>\u00a0(Barcelona), a list of feature specifications has been ranked by importance, and potential web technologies reviewed and evaluated against these specifications. New data models, both for the organization of the webtool content and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bioportal.bioontology.org\/ontologies\/EDAM-BIOIMAGING\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tags ontology<\/a>, have been discussed in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/eubias.org\/NEUBIAS\/venue\/neubias\/benchmarking-sample-datasets-wg5\/\">NEUBIAS WG5<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurobioimaging.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/EuBI%20PPII_D6.2_IRP.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eurobioimaging<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bio.tools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elixir<\/a>,\u00a0and are currently implemented in the\u00a0new version of the webtool.<\/p>\n<p>During Taggathon#2, we have worked on the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Test the new data model and new interface of the webtool with new content\u00a0(bio image analysis software and workflows adequately described and tagged).<\/li>\n<li>Import previous content from <a href=\"http:\/\/biii.upf.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">biii<\/a> and curate it.<\/li>\n<li>Foster collaboration and integration with NEUBIAS\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eubias.org\/NEUBIAS\/venue\/neubias\/training-wg2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WG2 (teaching)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eubias.org\/NEUBIAS\/venue\/neubias\/benchmarking-sample-datasets-wg5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WG5 (benchmarking)<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/eubias.org\/NEUBIAS\/venue\/neubias\/open-publications-wg6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WG6 (publications)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Add new features to the webtool to enhance users and taggers experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Taggathon#2 was hold during the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eubias.org\/NEUBIAS\/neubias2020-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1st NEUBIAS conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2nd Taggathon (Taggathon#2) have been hosted and organized by the Gulbenkian Institute of Science, in Oeiras (Portugal), from\u00a0February 13th to 15th, 2017.
