Established in 1956 as a Portuguese foundation for the whole of humanity, the FCG is focused on fostering knowledge and raising quality of life of persons throughout the fields of the arts, charity, science & education. FCG is one of the most important foundations in Europe, with activities in Portugal and abroad through the development of in-house projects, in partnership with other institutions, or by awarding scholarships and grants. Headquartered in Lisbon, the Foundation is also home to a scientific investigation centre in Oeiras (IGC), and has delegations in Paris and London.
NEUBIAS2020 meeting will take place in FCG's Auditorium2 + rooms 1,2 and 4.

There are a few interesting restaurants near the Venue (eg at the food court in "Campo Pequeno"). Check the interactive map for suggestions. The group dinner (Thursday 16th) will be downtown (NOT walking distance from the venue) at "Cervejaria da Trindade". To go downtown from the venue or Hotels we suggest the metro (subway) from "Sao Sebastiao" to "Baixa-Chiado". From there it should be a ~10 min walk (~500km) to the restaurant.

We are working on a bus service (pending confirmation) to take participants from venue to the restaurant (@8:30 outside the venue) and back at 23:15.

Further instructions and a possible bus service will be provided on the day of the symposium. However, if you want to go downtown on your own, here are some instructions (~10min 500m):
At "S. Sebastiao" metro station near the venue take blue line towards "Baixa-Chiado“; exit and find “escadinhas do Santo Espírito da Pedreira” (stairs) heading towards “Chiado”, go uphill on “R. Garret”, turn right onto Rua Nova da Trindade and should be there in 100m.

To visit downtown, you can also head towards the river (south), find “Rua Augusta”, go south towards the Tagus river (“Tejo”), onto “Praça do Comércio” also known as “Terreiro do Paço”.
